Regional Joint Degree Master of Intellectual Property Law
The reasons for the project emerged from the urgent need for graduate education (Master studies in Intellectual Property Law) in the region of South Eastern Europe as an indispensible tool to professionals in achievement of Intellectual property rights (IPRs) protection appropriate to EU standards. The situation in this field in Macedonia (MK) Serbia (RS) and the region shows high levels of IPRs infringement and piracy, although the legislation is in accordance with EU legislation. Several EU partners will help in retraining educators from MK and RS public and private universities in the field of Industrial Property Law, Copyright and Related Rights and related academic disciplines.
The studies will take place at the “SS. Cyril and Methodius” University of Skopje, “Iustinianus Primus” Faculty of Law-Centre for Intellectual Property Education (FLCIPE). FLCIPE and other project partners will be equipped for the purpose of organization of the studies. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will participate in the project on a self-financing basis, providing its extensive experience in IP teaching. MK, RS, EU and WIPO academics will develop the curricula and deliver the courses, and will also prepare relevant books and teaching materials.
Students that graduate from the studies are expected to implement their knowledge in their work as IPRs professionals (in companies, enforcement agencies, judiciary, IP agents etc) and deal with various aspects of intellectual property right protection.
The project is expected to achieve a higher degree of IPR protection and a reduction of infringement cases, as well as higher awareness of the importance of Intellectual Property.

International Meeting of Students of the Academies and Faculties of Dramatic Arts
"SKOMRAHI" started as a need of the students for friendship and exchange of experiences and knowledge with students from other Academies of Dramatic Arts from (now former) Yugoslavia in 1988. With the disintegration of Yugoslavia the idea of the meeting grew into an idea for a meeting of all the students from Europe. Given the conditions in which our small state grew, we are more than satisfied with the number of people who come to this meeting, which has enabled the following participation:
- 25 Schools (Academies, Faculties, Institutes),
- 100 Theatre shows,
- 90 hours of film projections, with over of 250 student short and documentary films,
- 40 lectures and workshops with professors of repute rank in the fields of dramatic arts,
- over 900 students and professors who took part in the meetings,
- over 110,000 visitors (audience) at theatre and film shows.
In the past years, respecting the needs of students and the audience, this event grew and changed, always trying to reach new goals. The mission of SKOMRAHI is to put on a prominent event involving different cultures, through the work and educational programmes of the students of the Academies and Faculties of Drama Arts.
SKROMAHI are held every year at the end of March. Until now, there have been participants from universities and academies from: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Cetinje, Tashkent, Prishtina, Sofia, Tirana, Lodz, Kiev, Bratislava, Amsterdam, Warsaw, Vroclav, Prague, Thessaloniki, Istanbul, Bucharest, Blagoevgrad, Vienna and Graz.
